How To Connect SimpliSafe with Alexa

Your SimpliSafe home security system will connect with Alexa, but don’t expect too much. Alexa is limited to just arming SimpliSafe and checking the system’s status through Alexa devices like Echo Dot and the Alexa app.

Still, being able to control these few things with just your voice is worth the few minutes it’ll take you to connect SimpliSafe to Alexa.

Before you get started, make sure you’re signed up for SimpliSafe’s Interactive monitoring plan (or the Pro Premium plan if you're using SimpliSafe in the UK). You’ll need it for SimpliSafe smart home integration.

Don’t have professional monitoring, or do you use another plan? No problem. You can upgrade your monitoring through your SimpliSafe online dashboard or through the SimpliSafe app. Expect to pay around $28 per month for SimpliSafe's Interactive Monitoring plan.

Yep! All you need to do is tell Alexa to arm your SimpliSafe home security system, and the SimpliSafe Smart Lock will automatically arm and lock too. This also works with August smart locks.
